The disclosure relates to a family of compounds of general formula (IA) or (IB) where ring B is a phenyl or a 6-membered heteroaryl ring containing 1 or 2 nitrogen ring atoms and Rc is selected from halo, -CN, C1-6 alkyl or a ring C. The remainder of functional groups are defined within the specification. These compounds are stimulators of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC). The disclosure also relates to pharmaceutically acceptable salts of the compounds and methods of treating a disease related to the heart, liver, kidneys or blood pressure using these compounds.
