PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach a helical winding prevention device to a branch line of an electric pole with small labor.SOLUTION: The helical winding prevention device comprises a prevention tool body 1 which is provided with semicylindrical bodies 1a and 1b to be opened and closed through a hinge part 2 and has recessed grooves 4a and 4b formed in its inner surface, and a fixation body 20. The fixation body is provided with a clamping mechanism 30 which clamps and fixes a branch line 40, and one semicylindrical body 1a is provided with a hook 11a which can be hooked to the branch line 40. Temporary lock means 41 which disables the semicylindrical body 1a and fixation body 20 to be separated from each other is provided. The fixation body 20 is fixed to the branch line 40 by operating the clamping mechanism 30 in a state in which the hook 11a is hooked to the branch line, and while the other semicylindrical body 1b is united to the semicylindrical body 1a in this state, the temporary lock state is canceled.
