Method for preparing a biocompatible crosslinked gel (A). Method for preparing a biocompatible crosslinked gel (A) comprises: (a) priming crosslinking of a quantity of at least one biocompatible polymer (I), in solution, by adding a crosslinking agent (II)； (b) allowing crosslinking to occur； (c) adding more of a polymer with molecular weight over 0.5 MD, as a solution, to the reaction mixture, with dilution of the mixture such that the overall concentration of polymer in solution is reduced, and allowing crosslinking to occur； and (d) stopping the crosslinking reaction by removal of (II). An independent claim is also included for gels (A) prepared by the new process.
