PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel Nrf2-activating agent that can replace Nrf2-activating agents known heretofore, and applications thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided: an Nrf2-activating agent including as an effective ingredient a culture solution obtained by cultivating Clostridium butyricum or a residue including the bacterium obtained by centrifuging the culture solution or a dried product of the residue； a prophylactic and/or therapeutic agent, including the Nrf2-activating agent, for tissue disorder or pathology for the treatment of which activation of Nrf2 is effective； and foods and drinks including the Nrf2-activating agent that have functions of preventing and/or ameliorating tissue disorder or pathology for the treatment of which activation of Nrf2 is effective and have the functions displayed thereon.【課題】従来公知のＮｒｆ２活性化剤に代替しうる新規なＮｒｆ２活性化剤、およびその用途を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のいくつかの形態によれば、以下のものが提供される：クロストリジウム・ブチリカム（Ｃｌｏｓｔｒｉｄｉｕｍ ｂｕｔｙｒｉｃｕｍ）を培養した培養液または前記培養液を遠心分離して得られる菌を含む残渣または前記残渣の乾燥物を有効成分として含有する、Ｎｒｆ２活性化剤；上記Ｎｒｆ２活性化剤を含有する、Ｎｒｆ２の活性化が治療に有効な組織障害または病態の予防および／または治療剤；並びに、上記Ｎｒｆ２活性化剤を含有する飲食品であって、Ｎｒｆ２の活性化が治療に有効な組織障害または病態を予防および／または改善する機能を有し、その機能表示が付された、飲食品。【選択図】図１
