The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating or ameliorating the effects of a disorder, such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, by increasing or decreasing proline levels. Further provided are methods of predicting and monitoring the clinical response in a patient, and diagnostic systems for identifying a patient likely to benefit from proline modulation.La présente invention concerne, entre autres, des méthodes permettant de traiter une pathologie ou daméliorer les répercussions dune pathologie, telle que la schizophrénie ou un trouble bipolaire, en augmentant ou diminuant les niveaux de proline. Linvention concerne en outre des méthodes de prédiction et de suivi de la réponse clinique chez le patient, et des systèmes de diagnostic permettant didentifier les patients susceptibles de bénéficier dune modulation de la proline.
