PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic material in which an anti-thrombotic compound other than heparin or a heparin derivative is fixed to the surface of the metallic material, the elution of the compound having anti-thrombotic properties from the metallic material is prevented, and high anti-thrombotic properties are exhibited over a long period.SOLUTION: Provided is an anti-thrombotic metallic material in which the surface of a metallic material is covered with a covering material including a phosphonic acid derivative or a catechol derivative, a polymer and an anti-thrombotic compound. The anti-thrombotic compound is covalent-bonded with the polymer, the phosphonic acid derivative or the catechol derivative. The polymer is covalent-bonded with the polymer, the phosphonic acid derivative or the catechol derivative.
