The present invention relates to a method for producing an extruded feed containing fibres, particularly sugarcane chaff and maize chaff, for use in agriculture as a feed for ruminants which contributes to yields (of meat or milk) which are greater than those achieved with conventional feeds, while taking advantage of those sources of fibre that are not normally used for this purpose, said feed being in an extruded form and being suitable also for horses, where the method follows exactly the same procedure as described in the application but without the addition of urea and additives.
