The present invention relates to a hydrogel composition and a method for preparing the same. The hydrogel composition according to the present invention is characterized by containing stearic acid sodium and guar gum. In addition, a method for preparing the hydrogel composition according to the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) obtaining a stearic acid sodium solution, followed by warming (b) obtaining a guar gum solution (c) mixing and stirring the stearic acid sodium solution and the guar gum solution and (d) dispensing the mixture of step (c) and gelling the mixture by lowering the temperature.
