The invention relates to a system for biological pest control in an agricultural and/or horticultural production area. The system comprises a single or a plurality of biological control agent stations. Each station has a wall structure enclosing a substantially watertight compartment and including an opening. Further, the station is provided with a cap covering the opening of the wall structure in a substantially watertight manner. The cap is provided with an aperture. The compartment is further partially filled with particulate carrier material supporting development of a biological control agent.
