The present invention relates to a novel EGFR-binding molecule, preferably an Affilin molecule having a three amino acid residue motif, based on a ubiquitin mutein (Affilin®). The invention further relates to an EGFR binding molecule that binds to an epitope that differs from or does not overlap with the anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody cetuximab. The invention further relates to the use of these EGFR binding proteins for use in drug therapy, preferably in the diagnosis or treatment of cancer.
