The invention relates to a personal hygiene system for bed-ridden people, comprising a number of hygienic garments defined as bags, with one being for urination (1) fitted in the urinary area and the other being for defecation fitted in the anal area, and comprising a self-contained auxiliary cart, wherein the garments and auxiliary cart are linked via a shower head (6) integrated in said auxiliary cart and provided with an opening/closing valve (7) that directs water for driving the urine (5) contained in the bag for urination (1) and the contents of the bag for defecation up to a number of repositories forming part of said auxiliary cart.
