The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for alleviating or preventing acne, comprising an extract of Kaempferia parviflora as an effective component. The present invention has found that the extract of Kaempferia parviflora of the present invention has superior antibacterial activities against acne-causing bacteria, Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus, and inhibits sebum production. Additionally, the present invention has found that the extract of Kaempferia parviflora has significantly higher antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects against the acne-causing bacteria than common gingers, and by optimizing the antibacterial activity of the extract of Kaempferia parviflora by concentration, the present invention may provide the cosmetic composition for alleviating or preventing acne, comprising the extract of Kaempferia parviflora as an effective component.본 발명은 검은 생강(kaempferiaparviflora) 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 여드름 개선 또는 예방용 화장료 조성물에 관한 것이다.본 발명의 검은 생강 추출물은 여드름의 원인균인 프로피오니박테리움 아크네(Propionibacterium acnes)와 황색포도상구균(Staphylococcus aureus)에 대한 우수한 항균 활성이 있으며, 피지를 억제하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 일반 생강에 비해 검은 생강 추출물이 이들 여드름 균에 대한 항균 효과와 항염 효과가 현저히 높음을 확인하였으며, 상기 검은 생강 추출물의 농도별로 항균 활성을 최적화함으로써, 검은 생강 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하여 여드름 증상 개선 및 예방할 수 있는 화장료 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
