PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of suppressing restenosis of a location expanded by a balloon.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 10 comprises: a shaft 11 that is inserted into a blood vessel from its tip side a balloon 12 that is provided on the tip side of the shaft 11 and is inflated and deflated by a fluid to be flown into and flown out from an internal space a connector 13 that is provided on a base end side of the shaft 11 and a wire 14 that is allowed to extend along each outer surface of the balloon 12 and the shaft 11.
