PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge forming machine for performing ridge forming work with an excellent finished state without being affected by a type of soil of a farm field and a ridge and a weather condition in the ridge forming work by performing the ridge forming work with pressing plates with different degrees of rigidity from each other since a plurality of the pressing plates comprise several kinds of plate materials having different degrees of rigidity from each other to obtain the pressing plates having differences, for example, in elastic moduli, ways of bending, and strength of the pressure contact degree with the ridge.SOLUTION: A filling mechanism 4 for filling soil on an old ridge W is provided on a machine casing 3. A ridge forming mechanism 12 having a rotational ridge forming body 13 capable of rotating and forming a ridge on a ridge surface by rotating with pressure contact is provided in a position in the back of the filling mechanism in a travelling direction. A plurality of pressing face bodies K.. are disposed at intervals on a peripheral part of the rotational ridge forming body. A flexible and elastic pressing plate G which extends from a pressing face body side in a front position in the rotating direction to a pressing face part K1 of the adjacent pressing face body in a rear position is provided on each pressing face body.
