PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse call system in which it can be confirmed on early stage whether or not a nurse rightly carries a portable terminal with her by automatically implementing carry confirming operation on the portable terminal to be used when switching a working shift.SOLUTION: A controller 5 includes a portable terminal confirmation control section 24 which transmits a carry confirmation signal to a portable terminal 4 for confirming whether a nurse carries the portable terminal with her or not cooperatively with working shift switching operation of a nurse call master unit 3, and the portable terminal 4 comprises an affirmation button 4b or a denial button 4c for responding to the carry confirming signal when the carry confirming signal is received.
