PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve an optimum imaging condition by calculating a geometry factor before starting imaging in parallel imaging using multiple coils.
SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus has a geometry factor evaluation part as a function of a control system, and when performing thinning measurement for which encoding is thinned, that is so-called parallel imaging, a plurality of imaging conditions (an imaging visual field, an off-center amount, an oblique angle and a multiple-speed number, etc.) are set beforehand, the geometry factor is calculated using the set imaging conditions and the sensitivity distribution of the multiple coils acquired beforehand before starting imaging, and the apparent SNR of a reconfigured image is predicted.
