The present invention relates to an automatic watering flowerpot using a porous carrier. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the automatic watering flowerpot comprises: a porous carrier having at least one fine pore, formed therein, for absorbing water； a first container containing a first inner room with an opened upper surface and a lower surface having one or more first through-holes, wherein the first inner room accommodates the porous carrier and root portions of an ornamental plant； and a second container containing a second inner room with an opened upper surface, wherein the first container and water to be supplied to the ornamental plant accommodated by the first container are stored in the second inner room. The porous carrier makes the water stored in the second container introduced through the first through-holes formed on the lower surface of the first container up to the upper side by means of capillary action, thereby making the water contained in the fine pores such that the water is supplied to the root portions of the ornamental plant.본 발명은 다공성 담체를 이용하는 자동 급수 화분에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따르면, 내부에 물을 흡수하기 위한 하나 이상의 미세 기공이 형성되어 있는 다공성 담체； 개방된 상부면과 하나 이상의 제1 통공이 형성된 하부면을 갖는 제1 내부 공간이 마련되고, 제1 내부 공간에는 다공성 담체 및 관상 식물의 뿌리 영역이 수용되는 제1 컨테이너； 및 개방된 상부면을 갖는 제2 내부 공간이 마련되며, 제2 내부 공간에는 제1 컨테이너 및 제1 컨테이너에 수용된 관상 식물에 공급될 물이 저장되는 제2 컨테이너；를 포함하되, 다공성 담체는, 모세관 작용에 의하여 제2 컨테이너에 저장된 물을 제1 컨테이너의 하부면에 형성된 제1 통공을 통해 상부 측으로 유입시킴으로써, 미세 기공에 물이 함유되도록 하여 관상 식물의 뿌리 영역에 수분이 공급될 수 있도록 하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
