PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic composition having suitable viscosity preventing drip-off, ensuring good foamability and foam retention on hair, and being used for the purpose of dyeing, decoloring, destaining or coloring hair.SOLUTION: A hair cosmetic composition contains a polyethylene glycol having an unlimited molecular weight but preferably having an average molecular weight of 500 to 150000 and further preferably 800 to 50000, and a fatty acid soap.
