Absorbent article comprises, in an immobilized form: (a) microcapsules formed in an amount of at least 25 wt.% relative to a total weight of polymer(s) forming microcapsules from a material derived from at least one natural polymer, protein analogues or their derivatives and loaded with at least one active agent; and (b) at least one release agent capable of stimulating the dissolution of the microcapsules during the contacting of the absorbent product with an aqueous medium and comprising enzymes, and/or water-soluble surfactant at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
