It is first bitten by the fish and when the two jaws close shut, the oval plate which is only a few millimetres thick is snapped flat in the fish's mouth at the same time and in turn is positioning the hook at a perfect right angle either facing up or down. Because the mouth of the fish is closed as it is hanging on to its prey/lure, the hooks potential to embed itself is going to be much greater as there is more of a target with the mouth shut and the oval plate is restricting the movement of the hook so it's not getting flung around. When the line tightens the plate will slide across the mouth and the hook on the end is always in the perfect position to embed itself to create a greater hook-up ratio for the anglers.front view of the rubber hook positioner There are two optionsto attatch the inventionon the line/leader.
