PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a compound sheet which enables the stable and continuous production of a compound sheet comprising three or more webs and having constant overlapping widths between sides of the neighboring webs.
SOLUTION: In the method for producing a compound sheet 10, three or more webs conveyed along their longitudinal directions are bonded so that the sides of the neighboring webs are overlapped with each other. The positions of both edges of a first web 102 in the width direction and the position of a bonded edge on one side of each of a pair of second webs 103 and 104 are detected after bonding. The conveying position of the first web 102 just before bonding is controlled at a predetermined position on the basis of the detected positions of both the edges of the first web 102. In addition, differences between the positions of both the edges of the first web 102 and the detected position of the edge of each of the second webs 103 and 104 are used to control the conveying positions of the second webs 103 and 104 such that the overlapping widths of the first web and the second webs are kept constant, and the first web and the second webs thus controlled are bonded.
