The present invention relates to an apparatus for performing a brain stimulating method, and specifically, to an apparatus for performing a brain stimulating method, which comprises the following steps: measuring a brainwave signal； and stimulating the brain by applying spindle-like stimulation to the brain in response to occurrence of a slow oscillation included in the brainwave signal. The apparatus for performing the brain stimulating method according to the present invention has an advantage of enhancing memory or reducing memory degradation due to dementia. In addition, the apparatus for performing the brain stimulating method according to the present invention has an advantage that hippocampus-dependent memory can be enhanced.본 발명은 뇌 자극 방법을 수행하기 위한 장치에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로는 뇌파 신호를 측정하는 단계； 및 상기 뇌파 신호에 포함된 느린진동(slow oscillation)의 발생에 따라 스핀들-유사 자극(spindle-like stimulation)을 상기 뇌에 인가하여 자극하는 단계를 포함하는 뇌 자극 방법을 수행하기 위한 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 뇌 자극 방법을 수행하기 위한 장치는 기억을 강화시키거나, 치매로 인한 기억 저하를 줄일 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, 본 발명에 따른 뇌 자극 방법을 수행하기 위한 장치는 해마-의존성 기억(hippocampus-dependent memory)을 강화시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
