PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel in which a fishing line can be reeled up without operating a braking operation member like a normal spinning reel in the light load even if a clutch mechanism is in an off-state in the spinning reel having the clutch mechanism.SOLUTION: A spinning reel 10 is a reel for paying out a fishing line forward. The spinning reel 10 includes a reel body 12, a handle 14, a spool 16, a rotor 18, a first rotation transmission mechanism 20 having a rotation transmission route, a brake lever 22, a rotor brake mechanism 24, a clutch switching member 26, a clutch mechanism 28, a clutch control mechanism 30 and a second rotation transmission mechanism 32.
