An implant for treating a rim deformity of an acetabulum comprises an implant generally having an L-shaped profile in the anterior posterior coronal view. The implant has a first flange and a second flange. The first flange is configured to extend into the acetabulum and the second flange is configured generally perpendicular to the first flange to extend over the rim of the acetabulum. A fixation element is configured to extend through the second flange and fix the implant to chondral bone.
