A navigational aid in epiduroscopy comprising: an insert for inserting longitudinally into the spine, the insert including means for transmitting light into patient tissue and receiving light reflected from the tissue and means for analysing the reflected light to determine a position of an end of the insert.Linvention porte sur une aide à la navigation lors dune épiduroscopie, laquelle aide à la navigation comprend : un insert destiné à être inséré longitudinalement dans la colonne vertébrale, linsert comprenant un moyen pour émettre de la lumière dans un tissu de patient et recevoir la lumière réfléchie par le tissu et un moyen pour analyser la lumière réfléchie afin de déterminer une position dune extrémité de linsert.
