PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be able to execute all instructions without fail to secure the safety and change the physical condition of a subject placed on a bed.SOLUTION: A pair of handles 32 arranged on both the sides of a bed 3 includes an LED 322 for the handles to emit light, and a pressure sensor 323 to detect the holding condition of each handle by a patient on the bed. Controls 5 for remote control of the bed include a switch 51 to supply a light emission signal for the LED to emit light and a display 52 to indicate that the handles are grasped, based on a detection signal from the pressure sensor. The arrangements make it possible to transmit the instructions agreed beforehand with the subject to him/her by making the both-side handles emit light selectively.
