PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent pad that makes a wearer feel less uncomfortable when in use and easily recovers the original shape thereof when the wearer opens his/her legs.SOLUTION: An absorbent pad 10 attached to the inside of a diaper comprises: a surface sheet 20 a back sheet 22 and an absorbent body 30 disposed between the surface sheet 20 and the back sheet 22 and comprising an absorbent core 32 made of an absorbent material. The absorbent body 30 has a peripheral region P and a central region C surrounded by the peripheral region P. The peripheral region P is thinner and stiffer than the central region C.
