A blister package for a medicament in powdered form to be used in the inhalation device, wherein the blister pack comprises a long strip of substrate material having recesses arranged at intervals along the strips, each recess comprises a wall forming a cavity, and a lid sealed to base material for closing the cavity and forming compartments for a pharmaceutical powder, wherein the blister strip is arranged to fill each recess metered dose of medicament powder, each recess is elongate and its longitudinal axis extends transversely of the strip and the long side walls connected to the base, wherein at least one side wall comprises a further cavity extending in the lateral direction over the base, with the formation of the inlet opening, whereupon the volume of each recess is provided larger than the volume of a metered dose, and each cell of the blister strip is arranged to open either by retracting the cover, or by piercing the cover or walls vyemki.2 .
