Also, a vascular stent coated with the Fat1EC is provided. Further provided is a vascular stent coated with a Fat1 ligand that activates Fat1. A method of treating a patient at risk for restenosis of a blood vessel is additionally provided. Further, methods of treating an injured blood vessel in a patient is provided. A method of treating a patient at risk for restenosis of a blood vessel or having an injured blood vessel is also provided.
