In an exemplary method of assembling an orthopedic prosthetic device, there are steps o placing a ferrule in a sleeve passing a cord through the sleeve and through the ferrule applying pressure to the ferrule, to cause the ferrule to grip the cord and locking the ferrule in a fixed position relative to the sleeve.
