The present invention relates to a method of maintaining the chemical reactivity of an oxidative hair dye within an opened flexible sachet (10) comprising a reseal element (48). The quality of the reseal will strongly influence how it reacts when the hair dye is used as intended. The method according to the invention ensures the maintenance of chemical reactivity by improving the quality of the reseal by intuitively inducing a safe and secure reseal by the user of such a hair dye.
