PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety when assembling in an assembling type electromotive wheelchair used by mounting an electromotive unit to a manual wheelchair.SOLUTION: This assembling type electromotive wheelchair 1 has the manual wheelchair 2 and the electromotive unit 3 attachable to and detachable from the manual wheelchair 2. The electromotive unit 3 includes a drive wheel 35 driven by supplying a current to a power supply circuit. The supply of a current to the power supply circuit is permitted only when the electromotive unit 3 is mounted on the manual wheelchair 2. By this constitution, the supply of a current to the power supply circuit is permitted for the first time when the electromotive unit 3 is mounted on the manual wheelchair 2.
