Medical / surgical synthetic adhesives and the present disclosure relates to a composition for a sealant. The adhesive composition, and a functionalized diol functionalized triol, whereas, the sealant composition further comprises an amine cross-linking agent and at least one multifunctional polyol. In a particularly useful embodiment, diols and triols of these, may be functionalized polyalkylene oxides having an isocyanate group (s). These compositions may be applied by a variety of methods including spraying it to the surgical site.
