PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that is useful for classifying a patient group requiring diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia and for predicting relapses of chronic myelogenous leukemia, etc. and to provide a means for reducing tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance in chronic myelogenous leukemia.SOLUTION: The method for detecting chronic myelogenous leukemia includes a step of measuring the expression level of the ADAM8 gene in blood cells in a sample obtained from a subject.
