SOLUTION: The radiographic apparatus includes the radiation source 16 a radiation detecting means for detecting radiation transmitted through a subject a guide mechanism for holding and guiding the radiation source 16 to be reciprocated in a predetermined direction an operating part that receives MANUAL operating force for moving the radiation source 16 along the guide mechanism and operation assisting means 31, 32, 33, 35, 36 and 37 moving the radiation source 16 at a moving speed corresponding to the MANUAL operating force when MANUAL operating force is applied to the operating part. The radiographic apparatus is provided with sensors 35, 45 and 55 detecting the moving direction of the operating part and a control means 30 receiving output signals of the sensors 35, 45 and 55 and controlling the operation assisting means 31, 32, 33, 35, 36 and 37 to lower the ratio of the moving speed to the MANUAL operating force when the moving direction of the operating part is reversed by the predetermined number of times or more.
