PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel antiallergic agent derived from an adzuki bean exhibiting higher medicinal effects than existing antiallergic medicines in perception of unutilized effective components of an adzuki bean, and a food containing the same.
SOLUTION: The antiallergic agent derived from an adzuki bean is obtained by separating a supernatant liquid from broth obtained by boiling an adzuki bean in boiling water, causing the supernatant liquid to adsorb on a synthetic adsorbent, and subsequently adding 10-40% ethanol aqueous solution to the synthetic adsorbent after the adsorption to elute the extracts, and exhibits activities on a type I allergic reaction. The food is obtained by adding the antiallergic agent derived from an adzuki bean thereto.
