The invention provides a composition comprising a combination of lipidated tissue factor and thrombin, wherein the amount of thrombin is comprised from 1 to 30 IU per gram of composition, and the amount of lipidated tissue factor is comprised from 5 to 150 ng per gram of composition.The present invention also provides pharmaceutical or veterinary compositions as well as hemostatic compositions.The compositions of the invention are useful in the treatment of hemorrhages.
