The present invention relates to a composition comprising a HDAC6 inhibitor as an active component for preventing or treating myositis and, more specifically, to a composition for preventing or treating myositis for protecting a function of mitochondria of myocyte by inhibiting HDAC6. The composition comprising the HDAC6 inhibitor as an active component for preventing or treating myositis according to the present invention can effectively treat myositis without side effects of an immunosupressor by protecting the function of mitochondria of myocyte by inhibiting HDAC6 not directly related to an immune system.본 발명은 HDAC6 억제제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 근염의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 더욱 자세하게는 HDAC6 억제에 의해 근세포의 미토콘드리아 기능을 보호할 수 있는 근염의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 HDAC6 억제제를 유효성분으로 포함하는 근염의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물은 면역시스템과 직접관련이 없는 HDAC6 억제를 통하여, 근세포의 미토콘드리아 기능을 보호할 수 있어, 면역억제제의 부작용 없이 근염을 효과적으로 치료할 수 있다.
