The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical device connector having a structure capable of electrically separating a ground connection terminal and an internal ground circuit when a receptacle and a plug are not engaged. For that reason, the medical device connector according to the present invention is a connector 60 having an engagement section 60a which allows a plug 50 having communication terminals 51 and ground terminals 52 to be engaged. The connector 60 is provided with: a ground section 63 that is located near the engagement section and grounds an electrically connected connection object communication contact terminals 61 that are provided at the engagement section and electrically connected with the communication terminals when the engagement section and the plug are engaged and a ground connection terminal 65 that is provided at the engagement section and electrically connects the ground section and the ground terminals along with engagement between the engagement section and the plug. When the plug and the connector are engaged and connected, the ground terminals and the ground section are connected via the ground connection terminal.
