PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture meter which enables an easy measurement of the moisture content of a human subject and which is efficient as an aid to appropriately control the moisture content of the subject.SOLUTION: The moisture meter 1 comprises a moisture measurement part 30 which is to be held under the armpit (R) of a human subject (M) and by which the moisture content in the armpit (R) is measured to thereby determine the moisture content of the subject (M). The moisture measurement part 30 is provided with a round covering member 34, which is a mesh-shaped member and, when held under the armpit (R), allows the permeation of vapor, i.e., the moisture in the armpit (R), and a humidity sensor 33 which is provided within the round covering member 34 and brought into contact with the vapor.
