The present disclosure provides a formulation having improved solubility and/or stability of emricasan. In one embodiment, the present disclosure provides a formulation containing (i) emricasan or a derivative thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate thereof, (ii) a nonionic surfactant including a polyoxyethylene group, and (iii) a buffering agent that maintains the pH at about 4.5 to about 8.5.
