PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stainless steel for an urea water injection valve having sufficient corrosion resistance to urea water of higher temperature, and having high abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: Stainless steel is used for a nozzle body 2 disposed on a tip of an urea water injection valve 1 used in an urea SCR system, and a needle 3 disposed in the urea water injection valve 1 and kept into contact with and separated from the nozzle body 2 by moved forward and backward in the axial direction. A HRC hardness is 40 or more, and a following formula (1) is satisfied. Cr-10C+2Ni≥2.18×10t-1.87×10t+9...(1). In the formula, each element symbol represents mass % of the element, a numerical value before the element symbol is a constant, t is a maximum temperature (°C) of urea water, and stainless steel for urea water injection valve includes 0.2 mass % or less (including 0 mass %) of C, 3-11 mass % of Ni, and 12 mass % or more of Cr.
