PURPOSE: A portable detecting apparatus for the obstacle detection is provided to sense the obstacle by the data followed by a using habit of a user, and is provided to control the sensing cycle of an ultrasonic sensor by a behavior pattern of the user. CONSTITUTION: A portable detecting apparatus (100) for the obstacle detection is comprised of the followings: a sensor unit (30) which includes at least one sensor which senses the obstacle located in the front of a user； a warning output unit (40) which informs the information about the obstacle, which is sensed through the sensor unit, to the user by the sound or vibration； and a main control unit (20) which controls the sensor unit and the warning output unit. The main control unit classifies the behavior pattern of the user based on the data collected through a three-shaft acceleration sensor (10), and controls the sensing cycle of the sensor unit by the classified behavior pattern.
