PURPOSE: Heart sound analysis unit and method are provided to implement accurate detection by detecting a main component of a heart sound using a third moment. CONSTITUTION: Heart sound characteristic wave is extracted(S110). The wave form is formed from the pre-measured signal. A third moment filter is applied to the extracted heart characteristic wave form. A moment characteristic wave form is extracted through the application(S120). A main component of the heart sound is detected using the moment characteristic wave form(S130).
