The subject of the present invention is an essential oil selected from the group including eucalyptus oil, camphor oil, lavender oil, fennel oil, sage oil, mint oil and aloe for use in the treatment and prophylaxis of inflammations caused by Demodex, for use especially when the inflammation caused by Demodex is marginal blepharitis. The subject of this invention is also the use of essential oils and aloe for the production of a preparation for use in the treatment and prophylaxis of inflammations caused by Demodex and a pharmaceutical composition containing as an active ingredient at least one of the above mentioned essential oils and/or aloe.La présente invention concerne une huile essentielle choisie dans le groupe comprenant l'huile d'eucalyptus, l'huile de camphre, l'huile de lavande, l'huile de fenouil, l'huile de sauge, l'huile de menthe et l'aloès en vue d'une utilisation dans le traitement et la prophylaxie d'inflammations provoquées par Demodex, en vue d'une utilisation notamment lorsque l'inflammation provoquée par Demodex est la blépharite marginale. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'huiles essentielles et d'aloès pour la production d'une préparation en vue d'une utilisation dans le traitement et la prophylaxie d'inflammations provoquées par Demodex et une composition pharmaceutique contenant comme principe actif au moins l'un parmi les huiles essentielles mentionnées ci-dessus et/ou l'aloès.
