The present invention relates to the field of biodegradable materials, and provides a method for synthesizing a resin for a degradable membrane material with a high molecular weight and high barrier property. According to the present invention, 2,6-dimethyl naphthalene dicarboxylate (NDC), adipic acid (AA) and 1,4-butanediol (BDO) are used as monomers for copolymerization by using a half-esterification half-interesterification synthetic route. A small amount of a polycarboxylic or polyhydroxy organic compound, such as a polyacid and a polylol, is added as a chain extender. Particularly, a self-made novel catalyst is used, and process conditions are controlled to synthesize polybutylene adipate/naphthalate (PBAN) with a high molecular weight and high barrier property.
