A composition comprising a botulinum toxin for use in the treatment of a patient having hyperhidrosis, in which the composition is administered: a) administering a first composition containing an enzyme that digests the extracellular matrix to a surface area of the patient； b) allowing sufficient time for the enzyme that digests the extracellular matrix to diffuse through the surface area and into a target； d) administering the composition comprising botulinum toxin to the surface area； and e) allowing sufficient time for the botulinum toxin to spread through the surface area and to the target, with at least one symptom associated with hyperhidrosis； wherein the surface area in stage b) is selected from the group consisting of a surface area of the underarm skin, a surface area of the palmar skin and a surface area of the plantar skin.Una composición que comprende una toxina botulínica para el uso en el tratamiento de un paciente que tiene hiperhidrosis, en la que la composición se administra: a) administrando una primera composición que contiene una enzima que digiere la matriz extracelular a un área superficial del paciente； b) permitiendo que transcurra el tiempo suficiente para que la enzima que digiere la matriz extracelular se difunda por el área superficial y hacia una diana； d) administrando la composición que comprende la toxina botulínica al área superficial； y e) permitiendo que transcurra el tiempo suficiente para la que la toxina botulínica se difunda por el área superficial y hacia la diana, con lo que se alivia al menos un síntoma asociado a la hiperhidrosis； en la que el área superficial en la etapa b) se selecciona del grupo que consiste en un área superficial de la piel de la axila, un área superficial de la piel palmar y un área superficial de la piel plantar.
