PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin cosmetic rapidly forming a film of a lamellar &alpha-gel structure when applying on a skin without stickiness in which the flexible &alpha-gel film including active ingredients is uniformly formed on the skin so that the active ingredients are prevented from transversely diffusing on the skin to keep smoothness of the skin with the lapse of time after application.SOLUTION: A skin cosmetic contains following components (A)-(F): (A) 0.5-6 mass% of a linear saturated fatty acid having a carbon number of 12-22 (B) 0.010-5 mass% of an organic base (C) 0.010-1 mass% of an inorganic base (D) 0.5-6 mass% of a linear saturated alcohol having a carbon number of 12-22 (E) 0.010-5 mass% of at least one selected from the vitamin B3 group and vitamin C group and (F) water. A mass ratio of the component (E) to the total amount [(A)+(D)] of components (A) and (D) is (E)/[(A)+(D)]=0.005-3.
