APPLICANT: SRI RAMACHANDRA UNIVERSITY TITLE: INDUCTION OF HUMAN GINGIVAL MESENCHYMAL CELL BY SELECTED DRUGS TO INDUCE BONE AND CEMENTUM FORMATION AND ANTI INFLAMMATORY CYTOKINE IL- 10 AND PRODUCT THEREOF ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a novel, cost-effective and straightforward tissue engineered medical construct and process of preparation thereof. The medical construct comprises of characterized combination of gingival derived mesenchymal stem cells with Cyclosporin A, Dexamethasone and Insulin growth factor in a scaffold. The medical construct of the present invention is capable of inducing bone & cementum formation and anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 for tooth supporting structures.
