An aqueous oral composition comprising from about 0.01 to about 0.5% by weight of xanthan gum； from about 0.01 to about 0.5% by weight of cellulose gum； from about 0.01 to about 0.5% by weight of carbomer； an orally acceptable aqueous vehicle； wherein the composition flow rate is less than 0.85.2. A composition according to claim 1, comprising from about 0.05 to about 0.1% by weight of xanthan gum； from about 0.05 to about 0.1% by weight of cellulose gum； from about 0.03 to about 0.1% by weight mass of carbomer. 3. A composition according to claim 1 or 2, comprising from about 0.07 to about 0.09% by weight of xanthan gum； from about 0.07 to about 0.09% by weight of cellulose gum； from about 0.04 to about 0 0 6% by weight of carbomer. 4. A composition according to claim 1, comprising approximately 0.083% by weight of xanthan gum； approximately 0.083% by weight of cellulose gum； approximately 0.05% by weight of carbomer. The composition of claim 1, further comprising a bactericidal agent. 6. The composition of claim 5, wherein said bactericidal agent is cetylpyridinium chloride. The composition of claim 1, further comprising a humidifier. 8. The composition of claim 7, wherein said humectant is selected from glycerol, sorbitol, propylene glycol, and a combination of two or more of them. The composition of claim 1, further comprising one or more components selected from a source of fluoride ions, a means of controlling the formation of tartar, a buffering agent, an abrasive additive, and a combination of two or more of them. The composition of claim 9, wherein at least one component selected from one or more components is a fluoride ion source selected from fluoride1.
